Setting Up Blogger On Custom Domains On 1and1.com
Aside from Godaddy, I also have some domains registered on 1and1.com because they’re cheaper. Besides, their private registration is also free. So, I can’t say “NO” to that. Anyway, setting up blogger on custom domains is so easy. You should do the following:
1. Buy your domain name at 1and1.com. This usually takes 48 hours. Some may take a while but be patient. Once it’s ready, go to your 1and1 Control Panel and log in.
2. Select by going to Administration tab.
3. Click Domains, then the domain overview page appears.
4. Enter only the subdomain you want to use. Click OK.
Example: If you chose www.mydomain.com for your blog’s address, you should enter www only.
5. Under DNS menu, select Edit DNS Settings.
6. Click on CNAME.
7. Enter ghs.google.com next to Alias.
8. Click OK.
9. Go to your BLOGGER account. Click Settings ->Publishing ->Switch to CUSTOM DOMAIN and enter http://yourdomain.com.
10. Go back to your 1and1 control panel. Put a check mark on your domain.com.
11. Click Destination ->Edit Destination ->Click Forward Your Domain.
12. Choose HTTP REDIRECT. Click OK
