Student Time

Posted in: Blogging,Electronics |

As a student it’s really important for me to be able to study when I need to. That’s why I’m thinking about getting a new apartment next semester – mostly because I don’t really think it’s fair that I don’t have anywhere to study since all of my roommates are so loud and obnoxious. They’re always bringing people over at like 3 am and it always happens to be the day of a big test or something like that. I got so fed up with it I got wireless internet so I could study wherever I was on campus and that’s helped a lot but it doesn’t seem right I can’t use my apartment to study like everyone else. It’s going to be tough affording a one bedroom on my own but at the end of the day it’s important to me to have my own space where it’s quiet and I know what to expect. I guess I don’t really like surprises that much afterall, and I’m okay with that as a character trait of mine.

Is your house vulnerable?

Posted in: Blogging,Electronics |

Thanks to Erasmo Cortez

Have you ever done a safety check around your home to make sure that it is safe and not vulnerable to a burglary? There are things that you can do to help protect your home from crime. You can add fencing around the back of your home and yard. This would deter a vandal or thief from getting close to your home because they would have to jump the fence to access your yard. You can make sure to have flood lights on the corners of the home to add visibility in the dark. A thief is less likely to choose your home to break in to if there is no darkness for them to hide in. You want to make sure you light up the darker areas of your yard so there is nowhere for someone to hide if a car were to drive by in the night. Another thing that you might want to try is having a www.homesecuritySYSTEM.com installed in your home. The alarm company will provide you with stickers and signs to put in your windows and in your yard that will help a thief think twice about trying to enter your home uninvited.

The North Face Jannu II GTX (Men's) Furrow Brown/Dune BeigeOur “9th” wedding anniversary is just around the corner but I’m not still done shopping for gifts. Honestly, my dear husband isn’t materialistic and he even told me not to get anything for him, but I insisted. Right now, I’m browsing some men’s boots online and found some which I think would look great on him.

Daddy’s Girl

Posted in: Blogging,Electronics |

I’m sure I’m no different than any daddy’s girl, but my dad couldn’t stand the thought of me living on my own. He tried to convince me for months to get a roommate or a dog, but I don’t really want either. I just started a pretty big time job at a law firm, and I don’t have time for either one in my life right now. My dad made sure to at least put his mind at ease by checking out HOMESECURITY101.com. Now HE feels better about me living on my own. My mother, on the other hand, is sure that I’m going to turn in to anti-social hermit living on my own and with my crazy hours, so she set me up on this silly dating website which I do NOT have time for or interest in. I really do love my parents, and am thankful that they love and care about me so much, but sometimes just wish they would let me live my life how I want to live it!’

My little Pug

Posted in: Blogging,Electronics,Pets |

Horns blazing in the background, my pug barking his poor little head off I know that it is time to take him for his walk. Grabbing the leash I walk over snap it on him heading for the door. Dancing happily beside me and pulling at his leash anxious to get out and run, I stop to set my home’s security system (adt home security information) before walking out. Instead of taking the elevator I take the flight of steps down to the front door of my apartment complex. I enjoy walking my little pug in the morning when the streets are not so busy and have to worry about pedestrian traffic. It also gives me a chance to think about what needs to happen during my day, what I need to do, and so forth. As I go through the intersection at my apartment complex I can see the park off in the distance that my pug loves to go to and play. However, not this morning, I can only walk about a mile or so before having to head out to work. Finishing my mile walk I head back home promising him that we will go in the morning to the park.
